Getting the recording…

1. Choose the part to clip

2. How long should each clip be?

Every clip starts at the beginning of a sentence and ends on a finished one. Clips never overlap.

3. Quality

Rendering is slow on this server. Use Draft to check the result quickly, then run Final on the clips you like.

Before posting: check names and figures against the official record, and add the MDDI usage notice for Parliament footage. These drafts don't include it yet.

Clipping guidelines

Applied automatically

  • Vertical 9:16. 1080×1920 at 30 fps (Draft: 720×1280). If the recording is wide, the picture is cropped around her face.
  • Her voice carries it. Original audio only, with the voice levelled to −14 LUFS.
  • A strong opening. Each clip starts at the beginning of a sentence, so it opens on a clear line.
  • Burned-in captions. Bold capitals, one yellow keyword per block, short blocks. "250 per cent" never splits across blocks.
  • One idea per clip. Clips end on a finished sentence and never overlap.
  • Length is yours to set. The guide suggests 45–125 s for Parliament, 60–180 s for tours and explainers, 60 s or less for notices. Never over 180 s.

Please check by hand

  • Names and figures against the official record. Captions are machine-made.
  • The MDDI usage notice on Parliament footage, and the current MDDI footage terms.
  • Humour, stickers and a cover image are not added automatically. Neither is the post caption.
  • Tone: warm and resident-centred, never combative.
